A Season in Quarantine - Day Sixteen

A sunny and relatively mild day. Today's was a good, brisk walk, but as the initial reason for the walk was essential-work related it wasn't possible to carry a camera or lenses, so once again all photos are from my phone camera and are of commensurate quality. Apologies.

Work has stopped on the thatched roof I photographed on day eight. I was looking forward to charting its progress in photos. Not at the moment, though

A Season in Quarantine - Day Fifteen

Today is blustery and bracing, but not as cold and windy as yesterday in my small part of Cambridgeshire. I have also been rained upon, but relatively briefly. Partially because of these things, but also because of my stupidity, today has been a good day from the exercise point of view - a brisk, steady walk, but less good from the photographic angle.

Basically, I committed the cardinal sin of not checking my camera's battery level before I went out (well, it seemed okay yesterday). Needless to say, I ran out of battery power by about the second photo. The following pics have therefore been taken on my phone camera and, with apologies , it doesn't half show in the quality of the images. I will endeavour to do better for future posts.

And finally, the one photo I took before my camera battery ran out.

A Season in Quarantine - Day Fourteen

So, today was very cold: not a day to linger or to remove gloves.  All photos were therefore taken with just the one lens. Given the high winds, it was also not a day to walk under big trees. There was a lot of fallen wood about. Some of it was old, but some of it looked worryingly fresh.

Today's walking buddy was next door's cat. The humans he owns have given him a name, but I know him as "Not My Cat".

Follow my leader...

A Season in Quarantine - Day Thirteen

And I thought yesterday's breeze was bracing... Today was a hood up, gloves on sort of day. It was also a day of varied light and shifting skyscapes and the creatures that inhabit them.
