Lambing Season 2022

Approximately this time last year I published a post about Manx Loaghtan sheep and lambs. Well, it's lambing season again and it was a nice morning, so here are even more photos of this year's sheep.

The sheep are mostly the rare breed known as Manx Loaghtan and their lambs are this beautiful dark brown, almost black colour, not the usual giddy soap flakes that so often dot our green fields. Having said that, there are some sheep here that don't match the pedigree, including what I think is a Leicester Longwool, but I'm only a photographer, not a sheep expert.

I'm not sure the sheep were always pleased to see me...

and some were just having a laugh...
